 "Steady and Far-reaching, Breaking Waves and Moving Forward A Seminar on the Frontier Outlook and Compliance Practices of Chinese Enterprises Going Global" (hereinafter referred to as "the Seminar"), co-hosted by Ernst & Young (China) Business Consulting Co., Ltd., Tian Yuan Law Firm, Zheshang Bank, and Sinobravo Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Hangzhou.

The Seminar brought together over 60 industry elites and academic experts to delve into the practical aspects of Chinese enterprises, particularly those from Zhejiang, venturing abroad for investment and financing. Discussions covered pathways, structural choices, tax compliance, and cross-border fund and foreign exchange compliance, offering a blend of theoretical insights and practical know-how.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Mr. Ma Tao, the Tax Service Zhejiang Market Managing Partner at Ernst & Young (China) Business Consulting Co., Ltd. He noted that with the advancement of globalization and industrial upgrading in 2024, an increasing number of Chinese enterprises are seeking markets overseas.

Ms. Liu Yihui, a partner at Tian Yuan Law Firm, presented on "Structural Selection and Compliance Key Points for Overseas Investment and M&A," discussing strategies for enterprise structural choices in different scenarios, starting from the characteristics of ODI and red-chip structures in overseas investments and M&A. Her legal perspective provided professional insights for participants on structural design and legal compliance in global ventures.

Ms. Dong Yu, Cross-border Investment Consulting Director at Sinobravo Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd., focused on "Enterprises' Path Selection and Compliance Practices for Going Global." She provided a comprehensive interpretation of cross-border investment overviews, the entire process of ODI, red-chip structure selection and construction, cross-border debt financing arrangements, and emphasizing practical implementation to safeguard enterprises' global expansion.

Ms. Yang Zheng, a Tax and Business Consulting Partner at Ernst & Young (China) Business Consulting Co., Ltd., concentrated on "Tax Planning for Overseas Investment and Hot Topic Sharing." Drawing on her experience in international taxation, she shared tax considerations for overseas investments and current hot topics, underscoring the significance of tax compliance and optimization in the globalization process of enterprises.

Ms. Li Lin, a Senior Expert in International Business Policy at Zheshang Bank, introduced financial services for cross-border capital projects, policy interpretations, and the professional advantages of Zheshang Bank in international business, emphasizing the bank's comprehensive financial support throughout the process of enterprises going global.

Following the Seminar, Ms. Yang Zheng and Ms. Dong Yu were interviewed by Zhejiang TV News Channel, discussing the importance of compliance requirements for enterprises going global, new trends in Chinese enterprises' global expansion, and the challenges and responses they face.

"Not going global means being out of the game," the Seminar underscored. Amid the tide of global expansion, Zhejiang and Chinese enterprises are moving forward with determination and stability, bravely breaking waves and exploring new frontiers.
